What does writing mean to you?

Well. Here we are again my friends. So let me ask you this: what does writing mean to you?

To me it’s the obvious cliched reason. Because I want to write, because I choose to express myself. Because it’s a hobby I love.

But there is more, much more. The truth is, it’s therapeutic, it’s good for the soul. Yes. For example, when everyone on this site asked me to write a book from a genre they voted on, I answered the call.  Not for personal gain, not for fame, but for the sake of giving back.

In the end a writer needs to write what is interesting to them. But they also have to listen to the people who visit their blog, who take the time to read their posts and leave precious comments. Because every voice counts.

So here we are. Just two days before Guns And Dogs is released. A book that was really about my own struggles as a person, but written for all of you. There is a lot of me in this book. Just like all the others before. But as I mentioned earlier, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

The greatest joy in life is to give something back to society. To leave your mark so you know you lived a productive life. Not for personal gain, or fame, but because it’s the right thing to do. I’m going to indulge in a cliche here but it truly is better to give than receive.

So now we come to the end of another blog post. Guys, it’s been fun outlining and writing Guns And Dogs. And I couldn’t of done it without you.  Thank you for coming here, thank you for leaving comments, but most of all, thank you for reminding me what writing truly means to me.

Giving back.

Guns And Dogs origins: Dogs

A few days ago I talked about the origins of Guns And Dogs regarding the current disease that has afflicted our society, which is the all-to-familiar shootings. Now I’d like to talk about the other half of Guns And Dogs, the better half, which involves dogs.

Dogs are such a precious gift to human society. They are our friends who only ask for love and companionship. Dogs are much-loved around the world. And it’s no secret that they’re called “Man’s Best Friend.” While some humans may disappoint us with their flippant actions, we can always count on our dogs to be there for us.

Which brings me to my next point. In Guns And Dogs we’ll meet a pair of Red Doberman Pinschers called Jessie and Studs who will play an important role in the story. Mark my words, the human protagonists will call on these brave canines to help them save the day. And it is my hope that every dog lover out there will have the chance to experience the value that they bring to the story.

One week left until the big day

Hello everyone. So we’re just one week away from the release of Guns And Dogs. The YA book you all voted for me to write.

Are you excited? Sure you are! For all my new friends, click HERE to learn more about my upcoming YA novel, Guns And Dogs.

Young Adult

Guns And Dogs origins: Shootings

3D book RENDER Guns and Dogs

By now many of you are aware that my upcoming Young adult novel, Guns And Dogs, which will be released worldwide on June 21. But many of you are probably curious as to how I arrived at writing this book. What was I thinking when I started crafting the outline in 2014?

I would have to say that school shootings takes up a huge chunk of the plot. I don’t have to explain what a national crisis shootings have been. From random violence against individuals to school shootings, and now the tragic nightclub shooting in Orlando all have a place in Guns And Dogs.

Instead of taking a side on gun control, I’ve written a realistic story and allowed the reader to make up their own mind. I personally don’t care much for them, but being preachy about guns would defeat the purpose of writing. A writer must lay out a story and let the reader decide for themselves. That is the definition of freedom.

So with all these tragic shootings that are destroying the fabric of our society, what can we do to stop the violence? That is the question put forth in Guns And Dogs. And that is the question every reader must decide for themselves.

I need your help

Guys. Now that Guns And Dogs is almost here. There’s something I need to ask from all of you. No. I’m not going to ask that you each buy a copy of Guns And Dogs. That would be way too arrogant of me. I prefer to market the book and let fate take its course.

I need you all to tell at least one person you know that loves to read about Guns And Dogs. Tell them about the book and that it is coming out on June 21 on amazon. I will leave the purchasing choice with each person.

Anyways, I am glad to have been here to write this Young Adult book for you all. After all, you voted for me to write it, and , well, the rest is history.
