I recently started writing the first few stories of my new Kindle Vella series which I mentioned in my last post. The first few stories are already done, and after that they will need to be edited and proofread before they are posted on Kindle Vella. I’ll have a working title for everyone in my next post.
I’ve been working on a new project since my last post. This is a Fantasy Young Adult serial to be featured on KindleVella. If you haven’t heard, Kindle Vella is a new platform that allows writers to publish stories. Readers will always get the first few stories free, and after that they can continue to follow the stories using tokens.
I’ll be posting more information on my Kindle Vella venture as information becomes available.
Well it’s been quite some time since I’ve written something, so I felt that the time was right to return to my online ramblings. When last we spoke, I had announced my “Retirement” from writing. Well, things have changed, and back in early April I decided to return to writing.
Have the words flowed like a river since I’ve returned? Well, not quite. But I have been working on a new standalone project. I won’t go into detail about it since it’s in the very early stages, but I thought I’d dust off my literary cobwebs and try my luck again at this thing called writing. I’ll give you a hint though, it’s a book for middle grade readers, will have no bad words or sex scenes, and will be fantasy in nature. Ohh, and it’s based in the same universe as the Leopard King Saga.
The moral of the story? A true writer can never retire from writing. The unwritten stories will torture your psyche until you get them down, or at least start working on getting them down. So don’t quit folks, not at anything, unless it’s a bad habit, and in that case, replace it with something good.
It’s been ages since I last posted anything so please excuse me. I’ve been busy with Graduate School and tweeting my political opinions on twitter. Some responses have been good, others, not so much.I’ve been quite productive though. Have been cranking out words like crazy for the past month and I’m loving it.
Book 4, or, The Leopard Resurrection, does not have a release date yet. although I am hoping to have it out by 2022. This is subject to change.
So how are YOU doing? What is keeping YOU busy during these crazy pandemic days?
It’s a wrap. A few hours ago I agreed to a two-book deal (for the publishing rights to Kill Zombies and The Bloody Ripper) with Kensington Gore,a horror publisher based in the UK. No, I haven’t hit paydirt with a 6 or 7-figure deal but it is a huge step toward gaining a larger audience and having someone back me and my books.
Since July 2013 this has been all on me. While I enjoyed the bumps in the road which helped me gain experience in the world of independent publishing, it’s a great feeling to know that there is an entity out there looking out for my best interests.
At the very least I will now transition formatting, editing and cover design to Kensington Gore and I trust they will do an excellent job in getting these two books in front of fans.
The work is still far from finished. Part of the deal stipulates that I must expand Kill Zombies and The Bloody Ripper from novellas to novels. That’s not a bad thing, really, as it gives me a chance to add some more meat to the plot and flesh out the characters.
Overall, the biggest benefit I stand to reap is that I will have the chance to improve my writing and get extra feedback from publishing professionals. For any writer, famous or newly-published, this is always an added bonus.
I’ve been asked to be interviewed by literary blogger L.M. Durand. This should prove interesting as I discuss writing and other helpful tips for writers. More information on the interview release date coming soon!

Even though I’m in the midst of promoting my latest release, Guns And Dogs, I’ve slowly begun jotting down words for the next novel in the Leopard King Saga, to be titled, The Leopard Apocalypse. Release date is scheduled for late 2017,but this is subject to change.
With the editing stage of Guns And Dogs still ongoing, I’ve decided to temporarily suspend work on the third book, The Leopard Apocalypse, of my Flagship historical Fantasy series Leopard King Saga. While I think multitasking is not a bad thing, there are just some situations where it should not be utilized, mainly because spreading yourself thin over two different works may affect the overall quality.
Stay tuned for more Guns And Dogs, and The Leopard Apocalypse updates as they become available.
