A Look back. And a Look Ahead.

It’s Christmas Eve, and it’s been far too long since I last wrote anything on this blog. In the meantime, I felt, on the eve of my vacation down to Florida tomorrow, I’d write something I hope will be useful.

As for my trip to Florida, it will be my first time back in the sunshine state since early 2003. You probably don’t know this but the last time I ventured down to Florida was in August 2002. Fresh off my college graduation, I felt I would test the waters and find employment there, much like I’m doing now. Except this was one year after 9-11, and having moved to Orlando against the better judgement of my peers, I quickly found that my presumed new home was nothing more than an oasis of underpaying jobs and dead-end interviews.

7 months later, and with my savings extinguished, I found myself heading back home to Northern Virginia with my proverbial tail between my legs. My dreams of living in a year-round warm wonderland crushed between the jaws of a metaphoric Florida Gator.

So what is the moral of this story you ask? Especially on Christmas Eve? Well folks, 2020 is nearly here. If you do one thing, make it this: try to make the best decisions that will help you in the long run. Don’t make decisions with your emotions. Instead, sit down and discuss major lifestyle changes with trusted friends and family. If you do make a move, make sure it’s for the best.

Anyways, that’s all for now. See you next year/decade! I leave you with this friendly Florida Alligator image.

Pre-order stage begins!

TheLeopardApocalypse-Nov5

Ok. Let me apologize first before beginning this post. Yes. It’s shameless promotion of THE LEOPARD APOCALYPSE. But dear audience, it has to be done. Last week I put the book on sale for the November 5th release date. It was the culmination of an odyssey I had begun in 2012.

Now it’s done! Just a few more tweaks and one piece of artwork and we’ll have the final product out there on amazon world.

You can click HERE to learn more about THE LEOPARD APOCALYPSE.

I’d like to thank everyone who reads my blog, and appreciate any support you can offer my upcoming release!

Respectfully,

T.A. Uner

Formatting Stage underway

I recently submitted the pre-edited manuscript for THE LEOPARD APOCALYPSE to my formatter before the Beta-Reading stage commences.

I’ve lined up a half-dozen folks to Beta-Read for me. For all you budding writers out there, this is the most critical part of publishing. Beta-Readers help weed out typos, grammatical errors, and most importantly, give feedback on the story.

Of course, it helps to have folks you trust, and these great people have been with me since the beginning.

More information to follow. The release date for The Leopard Apocalypse is projected for November 5th!

Update on The Leopard Apocalypse

cropped-the-leopard-apocalypse-banner.jpg

After many months of editing I’ve finally completed the editing stage for The Leopard Apocalypse. The only thing left is to insert some quotes and the book will now be turned over to my editor, after which Beta Readers will have a chance to comment on the story and make suggestions.

The release date is set at November 5th and we’re still on course. Fingers crossed of course.

Stay tuned for further updates on The Leopard Apocalypse.

Beta-readers needed!

LAcover_3D

As many of you know, I’ve been working on my latest creation, the Third Book in my Leopard King Saga to be titled, THE LEOPARD VANGUARD.

Well I’m winding down the first wave of edits before the beta-reading stage begins. This is where I let the readers help out. So I’m looking for folks who love history or fantasy to lend me a hand.

If you’d like to beta-read for me, please contact me at tuvan.uner@yahoo.com. Once the book is formatted into ebook form, we can discuss your part and how your volunteering can help enrich the story before I take all beta-reading imput and incorporate it into the novel. Then my editor will wrap everything up with an edit and it’s on to be published.

I expect the beta-reading stage to commence in early 2019. But as is everything in life, this is subject to change.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Interview for new novel highlights writing life. (Updated link)

Twitter Banner Kill Zombies

Great interview on me by Kensington Gore to support the re-release of Kill Zombies.

I think this is more than just self-promotion, it’s a great way for new writers and emerging artists to read about my writing style and the road I took to becoming a published writer.

I hope everyone who reads this interview takes something away from it.

Pre-ordering campaign kicks off!

Kill Zombies Coming Soon Spotlight

The wait is over!

Some of you might remember me mentioning my two-book deal with Kensington Gore Press back in February 2017. Well the wait is over. The first of two books, Kill Zombies, will be out August 27th.

This is the 3rd edition of Kill Zombies, which was first published November 2013, followed by a 2nd edition in 2014. I’m very proud of the work I’ve done here and the folks at Kensington Gore have been great and will be helping me promote the novella worldwide.
