I’ve begun the next round of beta-editing, which means the release date for GUNS AND DOGS has been pushed back to early May. I would rather wait a bit longer before putting it out than release a book that wasn’t up to my level of standards. Editing is a thankless job as everyone already knows. But Writers who don’t work to get the best out of their novels before publication are only setting themselves, and their readers, up for a bittersweet experience, and that’s not what I want. Is it ready to be released to the general public? Yes. But, is it the best book possible for readers at this point? My answer to that is an honest “probably not.”
